About Us

Montgomery HVAC Service Company, LLC, is family owned business located in Wylie, TX. We are a full-service heating and air conditioning company, offering sales, service, maintenance and installation of HVAC systems.

Our company exists today due to the influence of Claude L. Montgomery. He was a WWII veteran that began doing AC work in the evenings, after his regular day job, in order to support his wife and children. When his son, Steve Montgomery, became old enough to help Claude, he began teaching him the trade. Steve worked for his dad for several years.

Steve was able to use his AC experience in other jobs that followed. He worked for the City of Sachse as Building Maintenance Manager where one of his biggest responsibilities was keeping all the city buildings' heating and cooling systems running.

In 2009, Steve’s son, Scott Dunlap came to us with a proposal to start Montgomery HVAC Service Company. He had followed in his dad’s footsteps and had begun working in the HVAC industry.

We opened up shop in August of 2009. Claude’s advice to us: Always do what is right, take care of your customers, be honest, offer fair and equitable prices. His influence and guidance are the guiding principles in our business.

In addition to Steve and Scott out in the field, the office is managed by Betty and Rachel Montgomery. Before opening the company and working the office, Betty was an IT Project Manager and Business Analyst in the corporate offices of major multi-million dollar retail companies. She supported the point of sale and accounting systems to ensure uninterrupted daily operations.
